PARENT AGREEMENT - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By completing the sleep questionnaire you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

I am a trained, certified Paediatric Sleep Practitioner, but I am not medically trained, therefore I do not make medical diagnoses. However, I can help to identify sleep disorders and may suggest when medical support may be necessary.

Please note: I cannot guarantee that your child will not cry at times during this process. You cannot control your child’s emotions, and you wouldn’t want to. Your child wants things to stay the same, and any tears will be an expression of their confusion towards the new boundaries which are unfamiliar to them. I can ensure that your child will feel emotionally supported, and together we will create a plan that you feel comfortable with and that aligns with your parenting style.

Before starting sleep work, please ensure your child is healthy. Check with your GP if you are not sure.

You should ensure that you have a quiet and consistent period in which to implement your suggested sleep programme; this is to help support your child and set them up for success, and to ensure your own ability to stick to a programme once you begin.

SLEEP PROGRAMMES:

Your bespoke sleep programme is created for you and your family only. My assessment of your case involves a thorough investigation of any sleep issues and I take time to get to know you and your family, therefore your programme is unique to you. I ask that details of your programme are not shared with any third party, on or offline, this is to help protect my work.

POINTS TO NOTE:

1.      The total cost of the sleep package is required before the initial sleep questionnaire is sent (a payment plan of 3 instalments is available at no extra cost). Once your payment has been successful, all applicable logging documents will be emailed to you within 24 hours.

2.     Cancellation policy: package fees are non-refundable once the bespoke sleep programme has been issued. This is to cover the work and preparation already invested by Sleepypops. If you decide to cancel more than 48 hours before our diagnosis call appointment, Sleepypops has the right to hold £100 to cover any time and work already put into the assessment of your case. If you decide to cancel within 48 hours of your diagnosis call then Sleepypops has the right to hold 50% of the cost of your package. This is to protect the time invested in your assessment, as well as the loss of appointment possibility for other clients.

3.     Initial assessment logging documents: these will be emailed to you within 24 hours of your successful purchase via my website. No paperwork is released by Sleepypops until your invoice has been cleared.

4.    If your package includes follow-up calls, these must be taken within 2-months of your programme starting to ensure relevance. If you require additional calls, these are available to purchase at £45 for 30 minutes. Any follow-up calls not taken will expire 2-months after your programme begins.

5.    I do not offer WhatsApp support as standard, although there may be times when this route of communication is convenient for both parties, I am not obliged to be on call in this way. This is to protect my time and to empower you to take initiative as much as possible.

6.    Your details and information shared with me remain confidential and are protected by GDPR legislation.

7.    Confidentiality: any conversations over the phone, Google Meet, text, email, or WhatsApp shall remain confidential. I ask my clients to in turn respect my privacy; please do not discuss the details of our consultations publicly or on social media. Breach of this will result in the termination of our agreement & contract.

8.    It is my professional responsibility to report any concerns regarding the welfare and safeguarding of a child that I work with. If any concerns are raised, I must report this to the police or relevant organisation without your permission.

9.  My role is to support, empower and offer practical suggestions to resolve sleep problems.

10.    Sleep programmes alone do not improve sleep; the parent’s role is important in following through with suggested approaches and strategies with consistency to provide the greatest potential for change. I do not provide guarantees that I can resolve all sleep problems.

11.  Parents maintain and hold full responsibility for their child’s health throughout sleep work.

12.  Delay to start: If an assessment form has been returned completed but the agreed start date of the package has been pushed back by more than 21 days; a full reassessment will be required and this will incur an additional charge of £75 to cover the time of analysing the new completed assessment form.

13.  Illness: If your child becomes unwell during the duration of the support period which deeply impacts their ability to sleep, we can pause the support until such time when the child is in better health providing it is within 21 days. Anything longer and a new assessment may need to be completed and analysed, this will incur an additional charge of £75 to cover the extra time to re-assess your information and re-issue a bespoke programme.

14.  In case of my illness, I will provide you with good notice where possible and ensure minimal disruption to our time working together.

15.  My methods are tried and tested, and they have made positive impacts on the families I have worked with. However, they are not guaranteed and if they are not having the desired effect despite time and consistency then you may want to speak to your GP or another health professional to make sure that there are no underlying problems.
